Child & Extra Guest Policy

Last updated: 14 April 2026  ·  For All Guests
This policy outlines the rules and conditions relating to children, infants, and additional guests staying at properties booked through Wenjoy.ae. Guests are advised to review this policy and the specific property listing before making a booking to ensure it meets their group's needs.

1 Minimum Booking Age

The minimum age to make a booking on Wenjoy.ae is 18 years old. By completing a booking, the person making the reservation confirms that they are at least 18 years of age and will be present at the property during the stay.

Wenjoy reserves the right to cancel any booking where the lead guest is found to be under 18 years of age, and no refund may be applicable depending on the property's cancellation policy.

2 Children & Infants

Children and infants are welcome at most Wenjoy properties, subject to the vendor's property rules. However, the following conditions apply:

2.1 Children Count Toward Occupancy

All guests — including children of any age — are counted toward the maximum occupancy of the property. The maximum occupancy is clearly stated on each property listing and must not be exceeded under any circumstances. Guests should select the total number of guests (including children) when making a booking to ensure the property can accommodate their entire group.

2.2 Infants

Some vendors may have specific rules regarding infants (typically defined as children under 2 years of age). These rules will be stated in the property listing or house rules. Guests travelling with infants should verify with the vendor in advance whether cots, high chairs, or other infant facilities are available at the property.

Wenjoy recommends that guests always communicate their group composition — including the ages and number of children — to the vendor before or at the time of check-in.

2.3 Child Safety

Parents and guardians are fully responsible for the safety and supervision of children in their care during the stay. Wenjoy does not verify whether any specific property has been childproofed or is suitable for young children. Guests travelling with children should review the property description and contact the vendor to confirm the property's suitability before booking.

3 Maximum Occupancy

Each property on Wenjoy.ae has a maximum guest capacity set by the vendor and displayed on the listing page. This capacity is determined based on the property size, sleeping arrangements, and any applicable local regulations.

  • Guests must not exceed the stated maximum occupancy at any time during the stay.
  • Exceeding the maximum occupancy is a breach of the booking terms and the Guest Code of Conduct.
  • Vendors have the right to refuse check-in or request that additional guests leave the property if the occupancy limit is exceeded.
  • Violations may result in termination of the stay without refund and forfeiture of the security deposit.

4 Extra Guest Charges

Some vendors may charge an additional fee per extra guest beyond a base number of guests. Where applicable, this charge will be disclosed in the property listing prior to booking. Extra guest charges may apply to:

  • Adults and children above a specified base occupancy.
  • Overnight visitors who are not included in the original booking guest count.

Guests should review the pricing section of each property listing carefully to understand whether extra guest fees apply and at what rate. Undisclosed extra charges imposed by vendors at check-in that were not listed in the property details should be reported to support@wenjoy.ae.

5 Day Visitors

Day visitors (guests who are not staying overnight) are subject to the vendor's property rules. Some vendors may permit day visitors within reason, while others may not allow any additional persons on the property beyond the booked guests. Guests should check the property's house rules or contact the vendor in advance if they plan to have day visitors.

Day visitors do not count toward the maximum occupancy for sleeping purposes but may still be subject to limits set by the vendor for daytime use of the property.

6 Vendor-Specific Rules for Children

Some properties may not be suitable for children due to their design, layout, or safety features (e.g., properties with open pools, rooftop areas, or unfenced outdoor spaces). Vendors may specify in their listing that the property is not suitable for children under a certain age. Guests must respect and adhere to any such restrictions stated by the vendor.

If a property listing does not specify any child-related restrictions, guests may generally assume children are welcome, but it is always advisable to confirm with the vendor directly.

7 Responsibility

Wenjoy is not responsible for any injuries, incidents, or accidents involving children or any guests at a booked property. The guest who made the booking (the lead guest) is responsible for all members of their group, including children, and for ensuring that all guests comply with this policy, the property's house rules, and the Guest Code of Conduct.
