Anti-Discrimination Policy

Wenjoy.ae is committed to providing a platform where all guests, vendors, and agents are treated with dignity, fairness, and respect. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated on our platform. This policy outlines Wenjoy's zero-tolerance stance on discrimination and the obligations of all users to uphold these values in full compliance with UAE law.

1 Our Commitment

Wenjoy.ae believes that every person who uses our platform deserves equal treatment and access to our services. We are committed to ensuring that our marketplace operates free from discrimination, harassment, and bias. This commitment applies to all interactions on our platform — between guests, vendors, agents, and Wenjoy staff.

We fully support and require compliance with all applicable UAE anti-discrimination laws and regulations, and we expect every user of our platform to do the same.

2 UAE Legal Framework

The United Arab Emirates has clear legal provisions protecting individuals from discrimination and hatred. All users of the Wenjoy platform are required to comply strictly with applicable UAE laws, including:

  • Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2023 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrimes, which prohibits online content that promotes hatred or discrimination.
  • Federal Law No. 2 of 2015 on Combating Discrimination and Hatred, which criminalises acts of discrimination based on religion, caste, doctrine, race, colour, or ethnicity.
  • Any other applicable emirate-level or federal legislation pertaining to equality, non-discrimination, and human dignity.

Violations of UAE law by any user on the Wenjoy platform may be reported to the relevant UAE authorities.

3 Prohibited Discriminatory Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited by all users — guests, vendors, and agents — on the Wenjoy platform:

  • Refusing to provide or accept services based on a person's nationality, ethnicity, or country of origin.
  • Refusing to provide or accept services based on a person's religion or religious beliefs.
  • Refusing to provide or accept services based on a person's gender or marital status.
  • Using discriminatory language, slurs, or derogatory terms in any communication on or related to the platform.
  • Writing reviews, listing descriptions, or any other platform content that contains discriminatory language or stereotypes.
  • Engaging in any form of harassment targeting a person's protected characteristics.
  • Applying different pricing, terms, or conditions based on a guest's identity or perceived background.

4 Obligations of Vendors

Vendors who list properties on Wenjoy.ae agree to:

  • Accept guests without discrimination based on any protected characteristic.
  • Apply consistent pricing, terms, and availability to all guests equally.
  • Treat all guests with equal respect and courtesy, regardless of their background.
  • Not use the platform's messaging or listing tools to communicate discriminatory statements or preferences.

Any vendor found to have engaged in discriminatory practices will have their listings suspended and their account reviewed, potentially leading to permanent removal from the platform.

5 Obligations of Guests

Guests using the Wenjoy platform agree to:

  • Treat vendors, property staff, and other users with respect, regardless of their background.
  • Not engage in any discriminatory behaviour during their stay or in any communications related to their booking.
  • Comply with all UAE laws regarding conduct and non-discrimination during their stay in the UAE.

6 Obligations of Agents

Agents registered on Wenjoy.ae agree to:

  • Promote properties and refer guests without discrimination of any kind.
  • Not selectively market or withhold referral services based on a prospective guest's identity or background.
  • Uphold the values of this policy in all marketing activities associated with the Wenjoy platform.

7 Reporting Discrimination

If you experience or witness discrimination on the Wenjoy platform, we encourage you to report it immediately. Reports can be submitted to:

Your report should include:

  • Your booking reference number (if applicable).
  • A description of the discriminatory act or communication.
  • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, messages, photos).
  • The date and time the incident occurred.

All reports will be treated with confidentiality and reviewed by our team within 5 business days.

8 Consequences of Violations

Wenjoy takes all reports of discrimination seriously. Upon investigation, the following actions may be taken against users found to have violated this policy:

  • Formal warning and mandatory policy acknowledgement.
  • Temporary suspension of account or listings.
  • Permanent ban from the Wenjoy platform.
  • Reporting to UAE authorities where the conduct constitutes a criminal offence under UAE law.

Wenjoy will not tolerate retaliation against any user who reports discrimination in good faith.

9 Wenjoy's Internal Commitment

Wenjoy is committed to applying this Anti-Discrimination Policy internally as well. Our team members are expected to treat all platform users fairly and without bias. Any complaints about discriminatory conduct by a Wenjoy team member should be directed to legal@wenjoy.ae and will be investigated independently.
